XRTN

Bas Meuwissen, better known as XRTN, is a Dutch DJ and producer who has been making serious waves in the hard techno scene. Raised on the harder edges of electronic music, hardstyle, hardcore, and the raw energy of early rave, XRTN turned those influences into a sound entirely his own.

His breakthrough came fast. Debut EP For Your Mind dropped in November 2021, followed by ‘Mindcontroller’ in January 2022, a track that shot straight to number one on the Netherlands Viral 50, making it the most shared track in the country at that time. Collaborations with JSTN and NYCO followed, with ‘It’s My Beat’ crossing the one million streams mark and cementing XRTN as a name to watch.

On stage, XRTN is relentless, blending the freshest hard techno with forgotten gems from the archives, keeping dancefloors locked in from start to finish. That energy has landed him spots at some of the scene’s most respected events and venues, including Defqon.1, Verknipt, Reckless, Extrema Outdoor, Thuishaven, Claydrum, and Motionz.

Rooted in rave history but always pushing forward, XRTN is proving that the harder styles are very much alive, and he’s one of their loudest voices.
