About Locklead
Born in the Far East of the Netherlands in a small town called Nijverdal, Wesley Endeman, known as Locklead, grew up surrounded by motown, soul, funk and hip hop, before later discovering electronic music through artists such as Gui Boratto and Nathan Fake. This early blend of influences laid the foundation for his own sound, shaped further through involvement in the Utrecht underground scene and early exposure to club culture and rave environments. He first gained wider attention after winning the Triphouse Rotterdam King of the Beat Battle in 2014, where he was praised for his original approach to live beat making. Since then, he has developed a strong studio presence with releases on labels such as Slapfunk, Pleasure Zone, Dungeon Meat and Up The Stuss, as well as remixes including work for Michel de Hey and many more. A name quickly emerging from the Netherlands house scene, he is now recognized for sharp edged productions and a strong studio output that has earned wide support across the scene. His music has evolved over time, moving into more deep and expansive territory while keeping a clear and recognizable identity rooted in groove and texture. Behind the decks, Locklead is a versatile selector who moves between tougher club focused cuts and smoother house selections. His sets have taken him from dark basement raves to relaxed beach settings, and across cities including Amsterdam, Utrecht, Berlin, London, Paris, Dublin, Barcelona and Miami. He is also a regular at Slapfunk events in Amsterdam, where he continues to build his reputation as a reliable and energetic performer. With a growing catalog of releases and increasing international support, Locklead is widely seen as one of the most promising emerging names in modern house music, continuing to refine and expand his sound both in the studio and on stage.
